Logan Turns 6!
To celebrate Logan's birth, we said Logan could choose what he wanted to do and where he wanted to have dinner. Logan choose bowling and Luigi's for dinner. This years cupcake theme was aliens. Nathan and I left work to sing "Happy Birthday" to Logan and eat lunch with Logan at school (I am fortunate to have a principal who allows us to leave for an hour without taking a leave!). Here are some scenes from school. Logan is making progress writing his thank you letters. Meanwhile, we finally have the spring lawn work done. This year our neighbor rented an irrigator. We were able to take advantage and Nathan irrigated the lawn. I raked up all the plugs the following weekend. This weekend we mowed, applied fertilizer and turned on the sprinklers. Nathan hasn't enjoyed working on the lawn for 3 weekends. I doubt we 'do it ourselves' next year though I don't mind the work. Presently we're trying to coordinate summer visits. My summer is especially short this year. Our school calendar changed yet again and mentors go back early August, but we get out in May.

New Belt!
Nearly every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, Nathan or I take Logan to Tae-kwan-do. Just today Logan graduated from his purple stripe to orange stripe! Logan has been quite motivated to work hard so that he could earn a promotion.
Inyodo does a very nice recognizing the students' success by conducting a little ceremony. It's been 7 months since Logan began. All because I placed a bid at a silent auction....

Going Down Stairs....
"Just what I wanted...Lysol No Touch Hand soap!" This was Logan's #1 request from Santa this year. It has been my favorite story to tell for the last month...my son wants No Touch Hand soap. Logan has already placed his soap in the guest bathroom.
Making some Cookies
Logan is generally interested in baking but then loses interest towards the final stages. However, making cookies for Santa brings a whole new interest level! Logan clearly had his own vision for his cookies...enjoy! Ma'ma gave Logan is own measuring cups, measuring spoons and other "Logan sized" kitchen supplies that he wanted to use immediately! I promised him that we'd make something soon.
Decorating Gingerbread House
Listen closely to the background music. It's Logan's favorite and the only Christmas music Logan allows:)
There's been a lot of junk food consumed in the last few weeks. Logan and I will need to cleanse after the holidays.
