Horseback Riding in Steamboat

Logan and I rode Honey while Nathan rode Frank. Logan enjoyed talking to Honey. The beauty and peace was not missed by Logan. The last time Nathan and I went horseback riding was when we celebrated my birthday in Steamboat many years ago.

Steamboat Springs Alpine Slides

Logan desperately wanted to ride the chair lift, so we purchased tickets for the alpine slide. Nathan recalled riding an alpine slide with Dawn and Julie. Logan did not express concern for speed as his Nanny once did in Stowe years ago. In fact, when riding with mommy, Logan wanted to be in complete control of the brake. We had a great time going as fast as the sled would take us!

Weekend in Steamboat Springs

Even with a demanding week of work, Nathan thoughtfully planned a weekend get-away to Steamboat Springs. This weekend was the 30th annual Hot Air Balloon Fest and Rodeo. Rising early Saturday morning, we witnessed 33 hot air balloons launch. It was impressive to stand among the balloons as they began to inflate, rise and drift off into the distance. Story Land was a blast! Victoria, Rachel and Logan rode every ride. Mam'ma and Pappa came too.

Logan and I were able to celebrate Rachel and Victoria's birthday. Regal Reptiles was a big hit! Though squeamish at times, Mommy and Logan were brave and touched all 25 critters.
