Practicing some fine motor coordination....

Halloween 2010

The snow held off for the two days of celebration. This year Logan was Remy, the rat, from Ratatouille. His costume was complete with an apron and kitchen utensils. He was very excited to be the rat because he had seen the movie.

Logan anxiously awaited trick-or-treating. Saturday night in Minturn was a good time.
He was very good at saying "Trick or Treat" and "Happy Halloween."

Sunday afternoon in Vail Village was a great time. There were lots and lots of kids. Logan received many compliments for his costume. Halloween in Vail Village is always a bonus because shops give two and three pieces of candy each.

Logan and I made cupcakes for school to celebrate the season. Our "creepy crawly" cupcakes came out pretty good. We loaned a book by Cynthia Ryland that is a poem about a scarecrow. Logan then gave spider rings to all his friends.

Autumn has been very busy! Fall celebrations began with Wild West Days at 4 Eagle Ranch in Wolcott. This is a major fund raiser for Eagle County Elementary schools. Families and LOTS of children converge upon the ranch looking forward to games, horse rides, wagon rides and food. Children win gold coins that may be traded in for toys at the Mercantile.

Logan enjoyed the horseback ride most.
