Kicking off the Christmas Season
We went to Beaver Creek for some holiday music, hot coco, fireworks, and the lighting of the Christmas tree. It was remarkably cold. You'll see Logan making smoke in the first photo. The gingerbread house was from the professional division.

Thanksgiving 2010
Happy Thanksgiving!
It has been very cold the last few days. Logan and I woke to temps of -10 degrees. Although very sunny today, the days temperatures never rose above the teens. Traditionally we ski a few runs on Thanksgiving, however this year we went sledding on our snow covered road. Its been quite some time since we've stayed home. It was a well deserved break for Nathan, who's been working an awful lot these past few months.
For Thanksgiving we feasted on corn souffle (Nanny's recipe), sweet potato pudding with crushed ginger snap cookies and pecans, rice stuffing, turkey (an outstanding mushroom dressing for mom), cranberry sauce, sparkling apple cranberry cider (especially for Logan who now likes fizzy drinks) and a pumpkin pie.

November 20th Vail is open for its second day of the 2010 season.
We take the gondola up. It's Logan's favorite part of skiing. Logan picks up right where he left off last year. He's learning how to push on his edges. The wedge will hopefully come next. He was good for a half dozen runs before his "legs were hungry for lunch."
