"Just what I wanted...Lysol No Touch Hand soap!" This was Logan's #1 request from Santa this year. It has been my favorite story to tell for the last month...my son wants No Touch Hand soap. Logan has already placed his soap in the guest bathroom.

Making some Cookies

Logan is generally interested in baking but then loses interest towards the final stages. However, making cookies for Santa brings a whole new interest level! Logan clearly had his own vision for his cookies...enjoy! Ma'ma gave Logan is own measuring cups, measuring spoons and other "Logan sized" kitchen supplies that he wanted to use immediately! I promised him that we'd make something soon.

There's been a lot of junk food consumed in the last few weeks. Logan and I will need to cleanse after the holidays.

more Christmas...

Grandpa's gift idea of an RC car was a big hit. Logan spoke of driving it in the driveway tomorrow. The next is Logan with his new electronic drum set. If you look closely you'll see a Beatles magazine that I had picked up back in the fall at the grocery store. Nathan has one that Logan enjoys but Nathan worried about Logan folding and bending pages. Now Logan has his own. Logan kept looking inside the magazine then would pretend playing a song by The Beatles-really cute!

Christmas Day

The first photo is of Logan giving his gifts to his dad. Logan picked them out and wrapped them with my help. The next photo is of Logan and his Painter's present. He was disappointed that the spray gun was not real, nor could he really paint the family room walls. Nonetheless, it was a cool present because the spray gun lit up and made noise while the chalk gun spewed playdough. The last photo is of a workshop with "Kid friendly wood" that Logan can really cut, hammer and drill. He LOVES making things!

The Week before Christmas

Logan and I had the week together leading up to Christmas. Mom scheduled activities for nearly each day so that Logan did not get into too much trouble. Too much excitement has manifested itself in high energy and loud voices. This mom's answer is keep 'em busy and burning energy. So, Logan went swimming at the Gypsum Rec Center, saw Alvin and the Chipmunks at the theater, got a haircut and went to work with dad for a few hours while mom was at an appointment. We also made a batch of cookies for Santa and went snowshoeing. We didn't go very far because it was pretty cold (in the teens) but far enough that we earned hot chocolate and Auntie Julie cookies as we sat in the snow.

I must add that Logan's Christmas tree advent calendar has added to the anticipation of Christmas. Each night Nathan holds the Ziplock bag open as Logan reaches in to choose an ornament. He then locates where to place it. We hung the tree during Thanksgiving week so excitement has been building and building so quite some time now!

As tradition, we went into Vail and appreciated the magic only Vail can bring. We also went to dinner (and not pizza as we've done for the last several years because that was Logan's time limit!). As we ate dinner, Logan monitored Santa's progress around the world on NORADSanta.com. Logan fell asleep on the ride home. Logan was a prince and Nathan and I truly enjoyed ourselves.

Christmas Eve night Logan came in our room and said he couldn't sleep. I then laid with him giving rubs and snuggles. He tossed and turned for many, many hours when I finally told him he needed to try and fall asleep as I returned to my bed. Christmas morning I heard feet going down the stairs (despite our instructions to wake us before going down) and told him to come back up!

A Visit with Santa '2011

We visited the Minturn Winter Market. When Santa arrived on snow mobile, Logan had an opportunity to hand Santa his letter. Santa was very kind and generous with his time.

For some time now, Logan has been concerned that he did not know our new address. Nathan assured Logan that we sent Santa a forwarding address card.

Halloween and Ta-Kwan-Do

Nathan and I juggle work responsibilities so that Logan can go to Ta-Kwan-Do three days per week. Logan now has a white belt with a purple strip. He always looks forward to class. In this photo, he and his instructor are teaming up against the rest of the class with swords.

Nathan and I slipped out of work to have Thanksgiving lunch with Logan at school. I wish I could be involved with Logan's school activites more often.
